In 2021 following a long pandemic and a new season of Survivor preparing to air former contestants Brice Izyah and Wendell Holland wanted to celebrate the opportunity to be out and about again. Their idea was to show appreciation to the fans by having a watch party in a different city throughout the season. This tour they dubbed Brice and Wen Presents, sponsored by High Noon.
After working with Brice in the past I was approached to create a logo and any accompanying collateral. For the logo I wanted to focus on the reason for the events, Brice and Wendell. Using their likeness was important as they were recognizable which would help in branding the events as Survivor themed. Creating numerous concepts playing with many different styles and fonts ranging from sleek to gritty a concept was settled upon with half of their faces on each side of the lettering with the “I” in Brice replaced with a torch as a call back to Survivor.
As part of the collateral I was asked to create was a flyer for each different city featuring the date and guests. Once finished it would then be promoted in social media marketing campaigns. A big theme was showcasing the city as a back drop. Once the flyer was created the style was applied to other assets including itineraries, backstage passes and table cards. As many fans would be attending looking to take pictures which would then be shared to promote the events a step and repeat was developed. Lastly, a video to be used on Instagram as a story was created as a quick promotion to allow the ability tag the guests so they could be shared on numerous profiles.
Following the success of the first season Brice and Wen Presents has returned for 2 more tours and has begun to expand internationally. Each season also visits new locations allowing for more themes a design elements to be incorporated.
